Hi, my name is Jerry Hankins. I have lived in Missouri my whole life except for a two-year stint in the oilfield in Wyoming, and my extended family has been farming and trucking in Missouri since it became a state in 1821. My great-great-grandfather, people said, could guess a cow’s weight just by looking at it. I have traveled all over the country and visited most of the states. Furthermore, I am a father of two great sons and a husband to a fantastic wife of ten years. However, five years ago, I was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder and severe anxiety. I had panic attacks so bad that I had to give up the trucking career that I loved. I did not let that get me down. I returned to college and graduated with honors with a general studies associate’s degree from a great Missouri school, Crowder College. I am continuing my education by getting an earth science degree in secondary education. I taught fifth grade for two years, and that was a great experience. Lots of love for the teachers out there in the world, God bless you. My passions are travel, trucking, education, classic literature, news, politics, conservation, hunting, video games, movies, writing, and sports. I also coached junior high football for a couple of years and loved it.
